Specialist Telehealth for Persistent Pain

Evidence-based support that helps you regain confidence and move more freely - wherever you are.

Persistent pain affects your body, thoughts, emotions, and daily life. At Brook Physiotherapy, our Telehealth service offers expert care tailored for people living with persistent or complex musculoskeletal pain. Led by Dr Ian Cowell, a senior physiotherapist with over 35 years’ experience and a UK educator for the Evoolve Pain Care Academy, these sessions are grounded in the latest evidence and focus on strategies that truly work.

Why Telehealth Works for Persistent Pain

Many assume physiotherapy must be hands-on. For persistent pain, research shows that coaching, education, and guided behavioural change are more effective than passive treatments.

Cognitive Functional Therapy (CFT)

Cognitive Functional Therapy (CFT) is a personalised approach that:

  • Explains your pain in the context of your story

  • Helps shift unhelpful beliefs and fears about movement

  • Builds confidence to re-engage with activities you value

Telehealth is ideally suited to this approach, allowing you to work at your own pace, safely and privately, while learning strategies that create lasting change.
